If you’ve been considering having your child take lessons from me, read through these frequently asked questions to learn more about what to expect as a student in my studio!
How much do private lessons cost?
Tuition is billed at a flat monthly rate of $100/month. Ask me about a group rate!
How much should my student practice?
To succeed in music, regular practice is essential. I recommend 5-6 days of 20+ minutes per day (longer for intermediate/advanced students).
Do you offer make up lessons?
No, I do not offer make up lessons to protect my personal time and time with my family.
Do you have recitals?
Yes! We have two scheduled recitals per year, typically in the spring and fall.
Where can I get an instrument?
Adam Day Violins, Charles Liu, and Summerhays Music are all great places to rent or buy an instrument!
What other materials do I need for lessons?
Students need an instrument (including a shoulder rest and rosin), books as assigned by me, a tuner, a metronome, and a music stand to succeed in violin lessons.
